The Van Gogh museum
Vincent van Gogh was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter who today is one of the world's most popular artists. During the four days I spent in Amsterdam I was lucky enough to get to visit the Van gogh museum myself, and I must say that I highly recommend everyone visiting it! Beautiful paintings are covering the walls and interesting history is being represented. Personally I think his paintings are magnificent, and the history behind each one of them was so interesting to learn more about at the museum. The Van Gogh museum conducts research on Vincent van Gogh's life, work and art. It composes 200 paintings, 400 drawings and 700 letters by Vincent van Gogh, making it the largest collection of his work in the entire world. The museum also maintains paintings made by other artists such as Paul Gauguin. It is not allowed to take photos of the paintings themselves, but here is a a few photos of how the museum looks like from the inside! Visiting this museum was such an amazing experience, and hopefully I will be back soon to enjoy more of Van Gogh's paintings.
