Martine: Favorite places
Traveling is probably my favorite thing to do! There is nothing that can describe the feeling you get when you get to explore a new country and its culture. I have never been outside of Europe but I'm leaving for Asia next week! Since Nora wrote a piece about her favorite countries, I decided to do the same. Hope you can get some good travel tips, while you read about my favorite places in Europe!
France will always be my second home, I've lost count on how many times I have visited this amazing country! I hope wholeheartedly that I will end up living there one day. It's been a dream of mine to have a little house in southern France as long as I can remember. I'm in love with both the history and fashion that is filling the streets. If you like fields of lavender, art and gorgeous castles, this is the place for you!
If I should describe Greece in one word I would have to say charming: the people, the narrow streets and the food, it all makes you feel so welcome. It is like an old jewelry box: you never know what to find, but it contains some of the most wonderful treasures. Greece is full of life but it is also a very relaxing and calming destination. The beaches and sunsets are to die for, and I am so happy that I have had the privilege to visit this marvelous place!
Italy is such a beautiful place by my opinion. I can't get enough of the incredible architecture and the nature you can find there! Everything from the breathtaking sights of the Garda lake to the masquerade masks you can find in Venezia, makes this country one of my favorite destinations. I believe that italians are one of the most friendly groups of people in the world, they make you feel at home, and don't get me started on the food! Italy is definitely a place to visit!
