Thrifting 101

I have already written about fast fashion and therefore I thought it's time to share one of the easiest, simplest and most rewarding shopping methods! If you are looking for cool, different and cheap clothing, find your nearest thrift shop and look through everything like a long lost dream.

Take a whole day off - dedicated to finding those perfect pair of jeans, or that comfy big shirt. It might take you some time to get used to this way of thinking and shopping, but it has been one of the best things I ever did to my closet and wallet. By going thrift shopping instead of buying from conventional stores, you are eliminating waste, labor and you can get more clothing for your bucks! This way it's easier to stop supporting the materialistic culture and stop spending money on unnecessary: because you're not overwhelmed by clothes in several colors and sizes, but instead surrounded by more unique pieces.

Remember, if you're not completely happy with something you got, you can always redesign it and find different DIY ideas! Remember to look for patterns and fabrics that you like if you're looking for clothing to redesign, because it's easier to change the clothing's figure and form, rather than it's material. This youtube does a lot of beautiful and interesting designs, so if you're looking for some inspiration she's your girl.
