"Thelma" is a Norwegian coming of age movie with stunning visuals and a truly unique plot. By combining religion, suppressed feelings and a girl discovering her sexuality and psychokinetic powers, "Thelma" is a thought provoking and complex story full of twists and turns. The mysterious thriller is portrayed in a very organic and realistic way despite of the supernatural elements - and it is constantly questioning the meaning of faith, anxiety and passion. Definitely worth the watch!
Flux x Orion Carloto
Flux is a poetry book written by the talented youtuber Orion Carloto.
"Pulling inspiration from her personal adventures growing up, being in love, battling mental health, and the brutal pain of losing it all, she dug deep in her own woes and allowed those sorrows to fuel her writing. With original illustrations by artist Katie Roberts, Orion Carloto creates a dream world for the brokenhearted and paints a whimsical picture around the themes of love, loss, solitude, depression, sex, nostalgia, and unrequited romance."
"But while she’s sleeping in your arms at midnight,
I hope you look out your window and remember
that my name will forever live in the stars.
And I hope you’re reminded that no matter how hard
you close your eyes to try and forget the way I held you close,
you’ll never escape the moonlight.”
Progress is dancing to the same song I used to cry to.
Elsa Dorfman photography
Born and raised in the USA she first picked up a camera at the age of 28. She tries to implement elements of healing as she has photographed people with terminal cancer and also worked on a collaborative book named 40 Ways to Fight the Fight Against AIDS. Here she used her camera to photograph people, both with and without AIDS. Her work has this natural and unstaged aspect to them that you don't find in too many photographs.
Here is a small taste of some of here wonderful and insiring work.
