The Vivian project

Vivian Maier was an American nanny who died alone and anonymous in 2009. Not long after, her belongings (including more than 100,000 negatives, slides, films, etc) were sold in a garage auction. A man bought her pictures, not knowing what they were, and uploaded them to a street photography forum, asking if they were worth it.

He received hundreds of answers.

Vivian Maier has become a worldwide phenomenon.

There’s been a lot of controversy over if the people who bought her photos have the right to publish/profit from them, when she never showed them to anyone, but regardless, there have been countless exhibitions, books, etc, made in her honor.

I absolutely love her photos, so I took pictures of my reflection around my town. Vivian Maier style.
