STILIKON: Isabel Carmona on tacky pink, Harry Styles’ charisma and an ode to low-waist jeans
“Stilikon” (Norwegian: style icon) is a column that celebrates the art of fashion through mini-interviews with creatives who are known for their unique style. In the format of 20 quick-fire questions, we get to know them better, as well as their taste in fashion.
This time, you meet Isabel Carmona. You might know her as Isatofu on Instagram but outside the digital realm she is a BA Fashion Communications and Business student based in Madrid. The 21-year-old spends her time “playing Animal Crossing, being funny on the internet and kissing her girlfriend”. Isabel’s style reflects her bold and playful personality, as she rocks squiggly eyebrows, turquoise eye-makeup and a denim corset. In other words, she adds a much needed pop of colour to the world. We had a chat with Isabel about her bucket list, style influences and finding empowerment through not dressing to be pretty.
